The Musicians of Dorian Grays

Dean McNeill – Vocals, Guitar, Harmonica

For over 40 years, Dean has fronted bands in Germany, Halifax, Toronto, Ottawa, Burlington and Hamilton. Memorable gigs have included opening for Nazareth and National Velvet, a Much Music appearance, studio background vocals for One to One, and a national tour with Burlington-based Daggar. Dean has also fronted tribute bands to some of his favourite acts, including Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Journey, and Rush. Other entertainment credits have included a national tour as a cast member with the Mirvish production of RENT, as well as lead and principal roles in My Fair Lady, Anne of Green Gables, Joey the Musical, Company, Grease, and Jesus Christ Superstar. He also appeared as a Guest Star in the TV show First Wave.

In the early 2000s, Dean was in a much-loved pub band called Thirty-Something with his incredibly talented cousin and friend, Ian Citulsky. He is thrilled to be sharing the stage again with Ian in their new duo project, Dorian Grays. Their close bond and shared love of making music together is palpable in their dynamic and eclectic live performance of favourite songs from old to new.

Ian Citulsky – Piano, Guitar, Vocals

Ian Citulsky is an Ottawa-raised, Toronto-based multi-instrumentalist who originally studied piano under the Royal Conservatory and has performed in a number of bands across the Greater Toronto Area. He is an experienced session musician who has recorded tracks with Dan Kanopka (OK Go!), David Ackert (General Hospital, West Wing, NYPD Blue) and View of Fate (Ottawa-based alt-country act).

Ian’s other current musical project is PianoRock, where he interprets rock and heavy metal songs onto instrumental piano. PianoRock has now grown to gain half a million views on YouTube and hundreds of thousands of streams on Spotify. In 2024 alone, PianoRock was streamed by Spotify listeners from 88 countries.

While piano will always be Ian’s comfort food, he is known to pull out a guitar, bass, mandolin, melodica or harmonica during a Dorian Grays performance. Dorian Grays is a project that scratches a lifelong itch to perform live with his extremely talented cousin and friend Dean McNeill, where they delight audiences to a range of musical material rarely covered by a duo.
